29 June 2014 - Victoria Falls Marathon, Zimbabwe (Marathon & 21km)) African Splendour
Together with race organisers Wild Frontiers, this race and the weekend in the magical town of Vic Falls promises to be memorable and fun. Starting in the town the race allows you the opportunity to enjoy views of the falls, Zambezi River and the National Park. The locals are welcoming and friendly and make it an experience you won't forget. Kick back and relax before the marathon and after everyone can relax together after the race on a Sunset Cruise. On board you may see wildlife such as elephants, hippos, crocodiles and of course the varied birdlife on the shores of the Zambezi River. Once the sun has set over Africa it is time to party with the official Marathon after party. There is time on the trip to experience some adrenalin activities for those who are keen.

26 July 2014 - Australian Outback Marathon, Australia (Marathon, 21km, 10km & 6km) Ayers Rock Splendour

21 September 2014 - Sanlam Cape Town Marathon, South Africa (Marathon, 10k, 5k, Trail, Relay & 1 mile street race) Africa's beautiful Mother City
Cape Town Marathon is a big city marathon that takes place over a spring weekend in Africa. It aims to unite all with a shared love of sport and fun showcasing the gorgeous Mother City of Cape Town. 28 September 2014 - Loch Ness Marathon, Scotland (Marathon, 10k & 5k) Highlands Scenery & Nessie

12 October 2014 - Bank of America Chicago Marathon, USA (Marathon) A true Americas Marathon  
One of the 6 Major Marathons The Bank of America Chicago Marathon is known globally for its fast, flat course starting and finishing in Grant Park on Columbus Drive and Monroe Street. Elite athletes and amateurs alike annually target the race for its potential to generate personal, national and world records. In addition to its speed, the course itself offers all runners a scenic tour of Chicago as it weaves through numerous diverse neighbourhoods and dozens of landmarks. In running The Bank of America Chicago Marathon, you are guaranteed to see all that is great about the City of Chicago. A true 'Americas' marathon attracting a field of 45,000 runners from all over the world.  Course time limit is 6 hours 30 minutes. There are two separate Start Waves (Wave 1 and Wave 2); Wave 1 starts at 7:30 a.m., followed by Wave 2 at 8:00 a.m. Runners are allocated a starting place based on their expected finish time.Closed for 2014. 12 October 2014 - Buenos Aires Marathon, Argentina (Marathon) Samba style
A fast speedy course which starts and finishes in the city running past sights such as Government House, Cathedral, the Obelisk, financial, historic and tourist districts, soccer stadium, the widest river in the world, the new tunnel, La Boca and countless other fascinating and colorful locales and points of interest all the way to the finish in the wooded Av Figueroa Alcorta.It is not a large marathon, at least not as large as the majors but it is billed as the largest marathon in Southern Hemisphere!.Contact us for prices.

19 October 2014 - Amsterdam Marathon, The Netherlands (Marathon, 21k & 8k) Fast & Flat
Amsterdam Marathon will take place in October 2014 with an expected 15,000 runners. There are various events scheduled this day: the 42km Marathon (starts at 9:30), the 21km Half Marathon (starts at 13:30), the 8 km run (starts at 10:10), and also some childrens events. The marathon route is mainly flat and is known for its fast and beautiful course. The start and finish take place in the 80 year-old Olympic Stadium. And every year this leaves an unforgettable impression, not least because of the presence of the supporters in the stadium. The route is packed with things worth seeing in Amsterdam. As such, you pass the world famous Rijks Museum on the Museumplein, and through the Vondel Park. (48-hectare park, full of flowers, ponds, footpaths and playgrounds, a favourite among Amsterdammers) and follows a part of the Olympic route along the Amstel River, past stately homes and a few windmills. 42km Marathon runners will have 6 hours to complete the race, 21km Half Marathon runners will have 3 hours. 26 October 2014 - Venice Marathon, Italy (Marathon)  Italian Beauty
The Venice Marathon starts in Stra, a village in the countryside +/- 25kms from Venice. The course is mainly flat and fast through the rural areas and what better way to see St Mark's Square, the Grand Canal and many beautiful 18th century mansions than to run past them ! The crowds along the route are enthusiastic and vocal and everyone seemed to enjoy the spectacle, runners and spectators alike. The Marathon starts at 9.20am. Time limit is 6 hours.

09 November 2014 - Athens Classic Marathon, Greece (Marathon) A must
The Athens Classic Marathon gets its elegant name from the fact that it takes place on the route where, according to the legend, the very first marathon appeared. 2010 was the 2500th Anniversary of Pheidippides run in 490BC and this year is the 32nd edition of this historical event. A hilly and challenging course which starts near the sea and ends in the Panathinaikon Stadium built entirely in white marble for the first modern Olympics in 1896. The marble stadium is located on the same spot where remains of an ancient stadium used for the original Olympic Games in ancient Greece were excavated. The Marathon starts at 9am. 16 November 2014 - Istanbul Marathon, Turkey (Marathon, 15k, 10k & 8k) 2 continents race
Mostly flat and free of traffic it is the only course in the world where the marathon includes two continents, Asia and Europe, in one race. The Marathon race starts just behind the Bosphorus Bridge on the Asian side of Turkey, crosses the bridge affording beautiful views to the European side. Mostly then you run along a coastal road, through Gulhane Park and to the city to finish near the Blue Mosque. Hippodrome which was the meeting and sporting centres of Romans, Byzantium and Ottoman Empire, is the finish point. The finish line is between the entrance gate of Blue Mosque and Egypt Obelisk. The marathon is a Gold Label IAAF event. Taking place on the same day there is also 15km,10km and Fun Run races. The marathon starts at 9am and you have 5 and half hours to finish and receive a medal. Pasta is served free of charged at the Expo/Race Number pick up venue on Sat 15th and free transport is provided to the race start on race day. Our hotel is easy walking distance from the finish. 22 February 2015 - Tokyo Marathon, Japan (Marathon & 10km) Big, Exciting and Vibrant
Penthouse Travel Sporting Tours are pleased to be an official agent for the Tokyo Marathon 2015 and are therefore able to offer you a 4 night’s travel package including guaranteed race entry and flights. Bookings are limited and will close when the maximum number of entrants has been reached. Tokyo is an exciting and fascinating city with great nightlife. The Tokyo Marathon is generally a flat course and extremely popular with runners from all corners of the globe and especially since they became a member of the World Marathon Majors. It is the largest marathon in Asia and one of the largest in the world with +/- 36,000 participants. The course is like a sightseeing tour of Tokyo passing by tourist sites such as the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Tower, Asakusa and Ginza. With big crowd support, taiko drums, kimono dancers, and brass bands it has a festival atmosphere. The Marathon starts at 9.10am and the time limit is 7 hours with checkpoints and cut off times en-route. The day before the marathon a 5km International Friendship Run is expected to take place, details have not been communicated at this time. 22 February 2015 - Seychelles Eco-friendly Marathon (Marathon, 21km, 10km & 5km) Paradise

Seychelles is famous for clear turquoise waters and powder soft sandy beaches. 15 March 2015 - Barcelona Marathon, Spain (Marathon) Cosmopolitan City
Barcelona is one of Europes most cosmopolitan cities and one of the Mediterraneans busiest ports. The route is a flat circular course through Barcelona. Running through the city, starting at Av. Reina Cristina first in a Western direction, passing many attractions and finishes again where the race started.Tens of thousands of spectators line the route and cheer the participants. The Marathon starts at 8.30am. Time limit is 6 hours. The day before the Marathon a 4.2km Fun Run takes place and is free but limited to the first 2,000 entrants (register at the Expo in Barcelona). March 2015 - NYC Half Marathon, USA (Half Marathon) Exciting Tour of Manhattan
This race is new to our portfolio and extremely popular. Run in 2014 on St Patricks Day the locals are enthusiast and offer a loud and enthusiastic encouragement to the runners. We have guaranteed entries to sell with this exciting long weekend in New York City. The race takes runners through the streets of Manhattan, starting in Central Park, through Times Square to the South Street Seaport/Downtown Manhattan. Time limit is 3 hours. 22 March 2015 - Rome Marathon, Italy (Marathon & 4km) Bellissimo Roma
Starting and finishing close to the Colosseum this race takes you through the streets of historical Rome, which includes St. Peter's Square, Vatican City, Olympic Stadium, Piazzale Popolo and Trevi Fountain. A simple medical form must be completed by your Doctor. All Penthouse Travel Marathon entrants receive free medal engraving. There is a supporting 4km (Stracittadina) which starts immediately after the marathon start. It's one of the biggest Fun walks in Europe, expecting in excess of 80,000 entries. 12 April 2015 - Rotterdam Marathon, The Netherlands (Marathon & 10km) Fast and Flat
The Rotterdam Marathon has been the biggest one day sporting event in the Netherlands for 13 years in a row. It attracts the worlds elite runners. The course is a fast, friendly course. Starting on the bustling Coolsingel, no other marathon in the Netherlands can match the atmosphere in Rotterdam; thousands of spectators along the course make the party complete. 30 May 2015 - Stockholm Marathon, Sweden (Marathon) Scandinavian Beauty
Stockholm is one of the most beautiful capitals and well known for its cafes, parks and long summer nights. Built on 14 islands Stockholm, capital of Sweden is a city of contrasts – water and islands, history and innovation, small town/big city and up to 18 hours of day light during summer. The marathon course is two laps through the central parts of Stockholm. The surroundings vary from the woods of the Royal park "Djurgården" to the streets of a big city. The course passes buildings such as the Royal Palace, the City Hall, the Royal Opera and the Houses of Parliament. Much of the race is run along beautiful waterways.  When passing the "Västerbron" bridge, the runners will enjoy a fantastic view over a city with buildings ranging in age from the medieval times to the present day. The difference in altitude between the highest and the lowest point of the course is 29 meters. Starting just outside the Olympic Stadium the race finishes inside the famous Olympic Stadium. The first lap is 16.6 kilometres, the second lap 25.6 kilometres. Since this is a two lap course the top runners will lap the slower runners by the end of their second lap. The race is well supported by the locals who enthusiastically cheer everyone on. The marathon starts at 12h00. Average weather is 18 deg C.
