On Sunday 16th October 2022, the 45th edition of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon will take place. There are five events scheduled this day: the Marathon, the Half Marathon, the 8km run, the Kids Run and the Mini Marathon. The Marathon starts from 09:30hrs.The Half Marathon starts from 13.30hrs. The marathon route is mainly flat and is known for its fast and beautiful course. The start and finish take place in the historical Olympic Stadium. And every year this leaves an unforgettable impression, not least because of the presence of the supporters in the stadium. The route is packed with sights worth seeing in Amsterdam. As such, you pass the world famous Rijks Museum on the Museumplein, and through the Vondel Park (48-hectare park, full of flowers, ponds, footpaths and playgrounds, a favourite among Amsterdammers) and follows a part of the Olympic route along the Amstel River, past stately homes and a few windmills. 42km Marathon runners will have 6 hours to complete the race, 21km Half Marathon runners will have 3 hours.
