TCS New York City Marathon

RUN THE TCS NEW YORK CITY MARATHON WITH US! Since 1993 Penthouse Travel Sporting Tours have been selected as an Official International Travel Operator (ITO) of the TCS New York City Marathon, the Premier Event of the New York Road Runners (NYRR).

Every year +/- 120,000 runners around the world try and enter but only +/- 50,000 are successful. Demand is high! Book with us and you will know immediately if space is available.

Visas – South African passport holders require a visa to enter U.S.A. All other nationalities to please check. We strongly recommend you secure a visa before booking a trip to USA.

Time limit to finish the marathon is 8 hours.

 

The TCS New York City Marathon starts on Staten Island, crossing the famous bridges and travelling through the five culturally diverse boroughs of New York City before finishing 42.2km later in Central Park. We will be operating our own private bus to the start again this year – the bus will leave from the front of the hotel so there is no need to trek down to 42nd Street or the Staten Island Ferry in the dark like the majority! The race has 4 staggered starts between 09h40 and 10h55 - you have 8 hours to soak up the motivating and enthusiastic support from +/- 2 million spectators and finish the race. A timing chip is loaned to you for time keeping. Regular refreshment stations are every +/- 2kms starting +/- 5km into the race. Expect a fantastic marathon, exceptionally well planned and large expo, pre and post celebrations. Combine all this with this bustling city that never sleeps and you have a trip to remember for a very long time!
